The production process of talc powder
Talc is ultimately applied in the powder state, so fine grinding and ultrafine grinding are necessary processing technologies for talc. Talc has a Mohs hardness of 1 and is naturally breakable and grindable. The fine grinding of talc, the domestic general use of various models of Raymond mill, the main production of 200 mesh and 325 purpose products, but if the fine classification equipment is set, you can also produce 500-1250 purpose products.
Ultrafine talc powder is one of the world's largest ultrafine powder products, widely used in paper, plastic, rubber, paint, cosmetics, ceramics and so on.
At present, the processing of ultrafine talc is mainly by dry process. Although wet grinding has been studied, it is rarely used in industry. Dry production equipment mainly includes high-speed mechanical impact mill, air mill, centrifugal automill, rotary mill, vibration mill, stirring mill, tower mill, ring roller mill, vertical mill and so on. In addition to the air mill, in order to meet the requirements of the user on the particle size distribution, other classification equipment generally needs to be configured with fine classification equipment, commonly used fine classification equipment is a variety of turbine air centrifugal classifier, such as MS type, MSS type, ATP type, LHB type.
The gas flow crushing principle of talc is as follows:
Talc block - coarse crushing - dry - medium crushing - fine grinding (Raymond grinding)- ultrafine grinding (air grinding)- cyclone aggregate - packaging
The production process is roughly the talc block first by the feeder into the hammer crusher for crushing; The crushed material is dried in the vertical dryer by bucket elevator and vibrating feeder. After the dry material is broken by the hammer crusher, it goes into Raymond grinding, and the talc after fine grinding goes into the air flow mill for ultrafine grinding. The fineness of the final product can reach 500-5000 mesh (d97= 30-5um).
The air mill used in industry includes disc air mill, fluidized-bed air mill, circulating tube air mill and so on.
The high-speed mechanical impact ultrafine grinding process of talc is as follows:
Talc block - crushing (hammer crusher)- High speed mechanical impact ultrafine crusher - Turbo fine classifier - Cyclone aggregate - packaging
Generally, the talc block is broken to 8mm and directly into the mechanical impact ultrafine crusher, and the products after grinding are classified by the turbine fine classifier and collected by the cyclone collector. The graded product can be returned to the mill or can be used as a separate product. The process of centrifugal self-grinding and ultrafine grinding of talc by rotary mill is generally similar to that of high-speed mechanical impact ultrafine grinding.
