Hazards of heavy metals
Heavy metals are about 45 elements with a density above 5.0. Among them, the most serious environmental pollution, the most significant biological toxicity of heavy metal pollutants are: lead, antimony, barium, cadmium, chromium, mercury, arsenic, selenium, often referred to as the "eight heavy metals" (arsenic, selenium is a non-metal, but its toxicity and certain properties and heavy metals are similar, so it will be included in the scope of heavy metal pollutants). In addition, also includes copper, cobalt, nickel, tin, vanadium and other toxic heavy metal pollutants.
In recent years, there are constantly incidents about heavy metals exceeding the standard, causing people's concern and attention. Then we come together to understand the different kinds of heavy metals on the human body, as well as the content of heavy metals in our products.
1. Lead
Lead is one of the more toxic heavy metal pollution, once it enters the human body, it is difficult to exclude, directly harming the human brain cells, especially the neurons of the fetus, which can cause congenital shallow brain sulcus and mental retardation; causing dementia and brain death to the elderly.
2. Antimony
Antimony and arsenic can make silver hand jewelry into brick red, there is radioactive damage to the skin.
3. Barium
Barium poisoning is rare, mainly occurs in contact with soluble barium salts, here it should be noted that only soluble barium salts, such as barium chloride, barium nitrate, barium hydroxide, etc. and non-soluble barium carbonate are highly toxic to humans. The soluble salt of barium can enter the body through the respiratory tract, damaged skin and mainly through the digestive tract, and the barium ion will be absorbed into the blood and reach various tissues, with the most content in the muscles; although barium carbonate is insoluble in water, it can be dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid and become toxic after swallowing by reacting with hydrochloric acid in the stomach to produce barium chloride. The clinical manifestations of barium poisoning are nausea and vomiting, general weakness and panic, chest tightness, etc. Some patients may have cramps, heart rhythm disorder and hypokalemia, etc., which can directly lead to death in serious cases. Barium sulfate and other non-soluble barium salts are non-toxic and harmless, and the main component of the barium meal taken in the hospital for stomach examination is barium sulfate, which will not be digested in the human body and will be excreted directly from the body.
4. Cadmium
Cadmium can lead to high blood pressure, cause cardiovascular disease; destroy bones, cause kidney dysfunction.
5. Chromium
Chromium can cause numbness in the limbs and mental abnormalities.
6. Mercury
Mercury is ingested and sinks directly into the liver, damaging the brain, nerves and eyesight. Natural water containing 0.01 mg per liter of water will be strongly poisoned; drinking water containing trace amounts of mercury will cause accumulative poisoning when consumed for a long time.
7. Arsenic
Same as "antimony".
8. Selenium
Excessive intake of selenium will cause people to get stagger disease.
Our company has sent its own products to third-party testing institutions for many years to determine the content of heavy metals, the product indicators can meet the standard requirements, customers can rest assured that the use of the specific test results are shown in the table below.
